[ScanMaster/Pop up]

Radyne! Innovators in Induction Heating Equipment

The Pop up and ScanMaster units can be used effectively for induction hardening, induction annealing, Induction heating, induction scanning and/or induction tempering or other induction heat treatment of such parts as shafts, bars, pins, and gears.

FlexScan Modular Scanning or Pop Up System

[FlexScan] This versatile modular induction heating system is designed for use in a wide variety of induction applications including induction hardening and tempering, induction brazing and soldering, annealing, shrinkfitting and bar end heating. The compact, integrated design can be provided as a single or dual spindle for lift and rotate, vertical scanning or static heat applications. As a scanning system, it can vertically scan and heat part lengths up to 12". The electrics and HMI provided can be used for either spindle configuration. The unit features:
· Single or dual robust stainless steel part locator for part lift and rotate or scan length of 12 inches.
· Servo-driven actuator pillows with multiple programmable vertical positions available to enable load, quench and load/unload positions.
· Monochrome touch screen operator interface (HMI)
· Portability - the entire system can be mounted on wheels and moved as production arrangement needs change.
· 300 series stainless steel sink
· Entirely non-ferrous module-type cooling system.
· Side panel splash and safety guards.
· Module-type quench system with replaceable bag filter, thermostatically controlled immersion heater, temperature sensor/probe, 300 series stainless steel reservoir tank and all non-ferrous water related components including the pump and heat exchanger.
The power ratings available for the integrated arrangement are 5kW-40kW /10-50kHz, 10kW-30kW/20-60kHz, and 2.5kW-60kW/200kHz and higher power levels in a non-integrated design.

Power Integrated Pop up

Radyne's compact power integrated pop up is a self contained single shot system for induction hardening and induction tempering components. Using a lift/rotate, submerged quench method the pop up is designed to meet your specific heating requirements. The integrated transistorized power supplies range from 75 kW to 225 kW/3, 10 or 30 kHz. With two or three position capability, spindle rotation from 0-200 RPM and spindle load up to 150 pounds this system is easily integrated into a cell manufacturing line for high volume processing. A user friendly touch screen operator interface panel and PLC control enables quick and easy set up. Adding Radyne's Apex Quality Assurance system completes a work cell that represents the latest in induction heat treating technology.

ScanMaster and Power Integrated ScanMaster

[ScanMaster] Radyne's ScanMaster components can be incorporated together or separately to meet the specific needs of the heat treater. These user friendly, PC-compatible controlled systems provide for easy system set up, production monitoring, on-board fault logging and diagnostics. The computer directs simultaneous control of scan speeds (0-6 inches [152 mm] per second), rotation speeds (0-400 rpm), heat levels, heat times, quench times, time delays, and six additional user custom digital outputs.

Model 40XT can accommodate a 40 inch (1016 mm) part with a 40inch (1016 mm) scan ability in a single or dual position.

Model 60XT can accommodate a 60 inch (1524 mm) part with a 60 inch (1524 mm) scan ability in a single or dual position.

The Power Integrated ScanMaster units include integrated solid state induction power supplies that range from 60 to 225 kW/10 or 30 kHz. The extremely compact floor plan makes these units ideal for incorporation into an automated work cell or dedicated product line.

QAS 2000 Quality Assurance System

[Apex QA] Real time process monitoring provides for cost savings by offering an alternative to conventional, random sampling, and destructive testing. Simultaneous measuring of up to 8 (16 optional) process parameters at rates up to 100 samples per second data sampling (each one of the samples actually represents 10 samples), the Quality Assurance system can provide trending analysis or facilitate process variable troubleshooting.

[QA Graphical Display] Sensors typically measure induction heating power in kW, part rotation, scan speed, quench flow, quench temperature, water temperature, generator voltage, and part temperature.

As a stand alone unit, the QAS 2000 has a compact floor plan and can be easily added to any type of heating system that requires process monitoring. This software is now available as an integrated part of the Radyne ScanMaster controls. The QAS 2000 Quality Assurance system meets the needs of those requiring "real time" quality assurance data to ensure quality posts and record keeping of all data sensed from the induction heating system.
