Radyne Wire Thermal Processing News - New Bright Annealing System
Is Your Wire Damaged & Stressed Out?
Normal annealing will damage your wire by allowing impurities to oxidize the surface leaving it brittle and lacking shine. Radyne Corp., located in
Milwaukee, WI, recently shipped its NEW Oxygen Free Copper Wire Bright
Annealing System to a leading supplier of electrical grade copper and
aluminum wire.
Radyne’s inline controlled atmosphere
bright annealing systems maintain the highest quality surface finish
and interior strength for copper wire by eliminating traces of alkali, minimizing carbon deposition while relieving
stress. This system anneals copper wire in sizes ranging from 10
gauge – 2 gauge (0.102” – 0.258”) in diameter up to 700ft/min or more.
This allows the customer to go directly from drawing through anneal at
draw speed and onto the reel to ship to the end user. This lean,
in-line approach has taken days of waiting for traditional batch
furnacing out of the process, allowing the customer to be more
responsive to customers and at the same time to reduce inventory.
The power supply used for this application is a NEWLY designed TFN Advanced IGBT induction power source.
Our
energy efficient, clean induction technologies will reduce your
overhead costs and increase your productivity. Learn more about
