Mechanical Engineer - Machine Design, Material Handling, Automation

Description of work:

Will support the Engineering Manager in the design and specification of mechanical systems that move and orient parts to be processed in our Induction Heating Systems.
Will Design, Specify and Configure components including machine bases, material handling, actuators, pnumatics, sensors, geared actuators, servo's, cams, bearings, pumps, water containment systems
Will design new handling systems for custom and new products.
Will ensure that project deadlines are met on budget.
Will supervise and select contractors and vendors.
Will ensure that the mechanical performance, safety and reliability of our systems is best in class.

Qualifications:

BSME required, MSEE a plus, PE a plus
2 to 10 years design and test of custom machines.
Experience managing projects on time and on budget.
Must be able to convey technical vision clearly and simply to management.
Knowledge of production techniques including Machining, Fabricating, Welding, Assembly
Must have good technical writing and oral communication skills.
Robotics Experience a plus
Experience using Autocad
Experience with 3D design and or Solidworks a plus.
